I am very happy to update (late, I really am not good at blogging, lol) that we found a forever home for Oliver back in late February. He joined the family of one of my daughter's friends and they just LOVE him. Their Shih Tzu had passed away, and they were looking to find a new one to join their family. They didn't mind taking on a senior dog, and were very happy to take Oliver. We've had the chance to see Oliver a few times since he joined their family, and he is getting lots of love and attention there and is obviously very happy. He even got to ride on a float in a local parade, as my daughter's friend participates in a local pageant. I'm including a pic of Oliver that we took at Christmas time last year, and also a pic of Lady, who is now Lily. She has become a member of our family, since the home we thought we had for her fell thru.
We have also taken on Milo, a tripod kitten who just had surgery to remove a piece of bone in his leg that was so sharp it was cutting through his skin from the inside. And Felix, a stray puppy who showed up on 4th of July. We really can't keep Felix, as it is just not in our budget, so if you know anyone able to take on a boisterous 6 month old, please let me know. We are very close to a taking him to animal control because we just haven't the means to care for him.
